My Computer

A few weeks ago, my computer blew up, just a little. There was a lound bang, and the next day I found that it didn't work anymore. My dad looked at it, and the motherboard had blown out. We are still trying to set it back up again, but it has been taking longer that expected. We're just waiting for some parts to come in. We ordered a new graphics card, motherboard, and power supply. I can't wait till its fixed again, and hopfully the new one may work better that the old. I hope the computer is fixed by the end of this week but it may not.



Family Get-together

This weekend, my great uncle John and my cousin Kelly. My uncle john is my grandmother's brother, and Kelly is my mother's cousin, so she is technicly my great cousin. Anyway, they were over from Texas this weekend and a bit of this week. It's really special because I only get to see them once a year around the start of school. Are entire family was over at my grandma's and we had lots of fun. I don't have a huge family, there are only about ninteen of us all together, so it wasn't to crowded. We watched some of the old home movies my mom, aunts and uncle's filmed twenty years ago before any of them had kids. I should probably mention that I really only have family on my mom's side, my dad's mom is dead and his dad is... Well he never really knew his dad. Anyway, we watched the ones we all knew, the one that we called "Mystery Goo" is everyone's favorite.

Tape Measurer Prank

The picture of mesuring tape reminds me of a prank I once saw. They took a tape mesurer, I know that a tape measurer and measuring tape are two different thinngs, and pulled it out as far as it would go. They then crumped it up around it's self and threw it into their friends office. The waded up tape measurer pulled all its measuring tape back into itself, making a loude and abrupt niose. Thir friend, who was working on her computer, was a very jumpy person, and it scared her. Later, they rigged up a loud horn, like and air horn, and set it off in her office. This was the next day or so and she had forgoten about the tape measurer and was cought off gaurd. This scared the living daylight out of her, and she ran out of the room and found her friends laughing. I found this quite funny and a very imagineative use for a tape measurer.

Typing Web

Recently we have been working on our typing skills, using a website called Typing Web. It teaches you how to type and where all the keys are on a keyboard. The goal of this is to make it so that you don't look at you hands while you type. Right now I am trying not to look as I type, but it's kind of hard and I find myself looking. Even so, this program has really helped with my typing skills. I can now type (sort of) without looking at the keyboard if I so chose, though I still find looking much easier. This program has different courses, for different skill levels. Beginner, intermediate, advanced, and so on, increasing in difficulty and skill.

My Bottled up Memory

The memory I would bottle up would be when I was at my friends birthday party last year. I would uncorck the memory, I would remember how we all prepared for the nerf war. We loaded clip after clip with nerf darts. Then, I would relive how we picked teams, then just went crazy, forgetting our teams and shooting everyone with the foam darts. I would then remember, hours later, how we would pick one person to find other in the pitch black basmemt, and how I accidently kicked my other friend in the gut, and how I took my brown jacket and hid in the middle of the room, and they couldn't find me.

My Book

Lately I have been working on my book. I have been writing a lot and I have over a hundred and thirty pages. That leaves me with about a hundred or so more to do. I really enjoy writing, it's how I express myself. My books name is called "Mad World" but I am surly going to change the name soon. The main charachter's name is Cooper Johnson, and this book takes place during the zombie apacolipse. Yeah, I know it's a little over done, the whole zombie apacolipse thing but I really enjoy it and people who have read it say I do it well. I was rally inspired by another author, Johnathan Mayberry, he is one of my favorite authors. I hope to have my book finished soon, but it may be a while.

Labor Day

Labor Day is believed to be founded by Peter McGuire, but some say that it was Mathew McGuire who had the idea of a working mans holiday. Labor Day was founded to celibrate the men who worked so they could get reconition. It took little more than a decade to make it a nationwide holiday. Once it was, the first Monday of September was made Labot day. Later, the Sunday before was made Labor Sunday, it represented the educational and spiritual aspecs of Labor Day.
