Technolgey class

The things I like about this class is that we get to us computers, and we get to do fun things in the class. the things I learned is that you should be carefull with your computer and I also learned all the parts of a computer. I don`t think Ms. Debolt should change anything about her class. I had a lot of fun in the class.

The seven doors

there were seven doors and I had to pick one I picked the sixth door it lead to hogwarts when I went through the door I started walking and I found a shack when I went inside I found a dwarf he was eating breacfest he got mad so I ran away I triped and hit my head on the ground when I woke up I started walking and I came across a village and I woke up it was a dream.

My trip to Boston

every year I go to boston to visit my dad this year when I went there I got a new XBOX 360 so now I have one here and in Boston I also got to go to the wave pool and the next day I got to go visit my cousens I slept overe at his house but there was one problem he had no ac so it was burning up in there the next day I went back to my dads house.

My hous was broken into fake story

Robbers have broke into my house and took every thing and they left one thing they left broken glass on the floor and I think that the police didn't dust for finger prints so I think someone in the police broke into my house.

My weekend

This weekend i went to my grandpas house. The things I did there are shooting, driveing a remote controlled car, going to the Hobbie shop to fix my remote controlled car. The day after that I went back home and played outside on my trampoline, and rode my bike then I went inside and watched TV and built a new lego set the USS MISSOURI. Then when I woke up the next day I was sick.

my thanksgiving

For my first thanksgiving as the host I went to the store and got the biggest turky in the store. when I got home I put the turky in the oven untill everyone came over. When I got the turky out I started to walk over with the turky and I triped over something and the turky hit the ground so we were all sad so I went back to the store and got some burgers it took us a while to get them cooked

Chrismas

I hope it snows this year I am trying to make my Chrismas list we didint get up the tree yet we also havent got up the decrations too. I am asking for ten things for Chrismas thoes things are Halo 4, Black Ops 2, Halo mega bloks, and some other games and Halo bloks. If it snows I still have a sled from last year.

My weekend

My weekend was the best weekend ever I got to go to my grandpas house I shot a 30 30 wintchester and I shot my bow and arrow. I also went to Dave and Busters when I was there I played a game that had Football, Baseball, hookey and that is all it had I got 24,000 tickets while I was there I got a game with my tickets the game was Medel of honer war fighter.

My Halloween

First my mom painted my face to make me look like a zombie. Then when the siren went off I got a pillow case and used it to put candy in. Then I went to my freinds house and we went trick or treating together we went to one house and there was someone under a black bag when I went up to get candy he grabed my leg and I yelled. My freind put a sheet on his head and that was his Halloween costume. We wnet to all of the houses in the town and we didn`t get as much candy as last year.

Train story

The train tracks remind me of when I used to set pennies on the tracks and the train would bend them. And I used to walk on the train tracks. I would allways watch the train go by my little brother would love trains so we took him on a train and he kept saying train. When we where on the train I thought the train was tiping over and it was really loud because of the tracks.

The Walking Dead Telltale Game series Episode 4

Last night I played the fourth part of my favortie game, The Walking Dead. The Walking Dead game, not tv series. It doesn't follow the characters from the tv series but anyway, it was one of the most fun episodes yet. Yes, they are realeased in episodes, I don't know why. It was the fourth one and it was the mother of all cliff hangers. I was forced to make very tough decisions, and fast thinking actions. Sometimes, I failed and had to do it again. The last decision was if I wanted to pull a guy up from a ledge or let him go. He had betrayed the gruop but it wasn't really his falt. One of the other members of the group told me to let go, even Ben did. Ben was the guy who I held onto, and he felt guilty about what had happened with Kenny's wife and kid [I had to shoot his son, he was bitten and about to turn and his wife was killed]. Ben was telling me to let go of him and he would have fallen to his death. I thought the game was going to do it for me, but then it gave me an option. Almost without hesitation I pulled him up, even though the game pretty much wanted me to let go of him.

Cloudy With a Chance Of Monsters

Cloudy With a Chance Of Monsters is the origonal story of Cloudy With a Chance Of Meatballs, but instead of food raining down, monsters do. Flinn's machine terrorizes the town when it creates nightmare creatures and terrefying monsters, even Killer Meatballs. Flinn is forced to stop these creatures by using his past inventions to help him, even his infamous "Spray on Shoes" that don't come off.

Writers Block

Before, I have written about my book. I couldn't think of anything else to write about, so I decided to give a quick update on my book. I have hit a deadzone, thats right, I have a bad case of writers block. I think I have ine hundred forty-simething pages. I know what I want to happen later on in the story, but can't think of a way to get there from the point  I am writing. Basicly I'm having a hard time getting from point A to point B. I am confident that I can come out of this temporary deadzone, and finish my book. I really enjoy writing and I hope I can continue to write more. Maybe one day, I could get my book puplished.

The Odd Orb

After the police left, I sat on my bare carpet floor in my totally empty house. Well, not totally empty. In the middle of the lving room, I found a small gold orb. It was about the size of  a baseball, and seemed to be made of some metal and painted gold. I knew what this was. I picked up the orb, and searched it. After a few seconds, I found what i was looking for, a small button. I pressed it, and the orb's top hemisphere folded down. It projected a holographic world map. It had a red dot blinking in the middle of North America, right about where my postion on a world map would be... Suddenly, another red dot appeared, as if answering my call. I touched the holographic display, and it zoomed in to the other red dot. It gave me exact cordnates of where the dot was. It was three miles north, and headed my way. I shot up from my seat, grabbed my keys and got in my car. I didn't know what the dot was, but I knew it wasn't good, and it was after me.

A few weeks ago, my computer blew up, just a little. There was a lound bang, and the next day I found that it didn't work anymore. My dad looked at it, and the motherboard had blown out. We are still trying to set it back up again, but it has been taking longer that expected. We're just waiting for some parts to come in. We ordered a new graphics card, motherboard, and power supply. I can't wait till its fixed again, and hopfully the new one may work better that the old. I hope the computer is fixed by the end of this week but it may not.



Family Get-together

This weekend, my great uncle John and my cousin Kelly. My uncle john is my grandmother's brother, and Kelly is my mother's cousin, so she is technicly my great cousin. Anyway, they were over from Texas this weekend and a bit of this week. It's really special because I only get to see them once a year around the start of school. Are entire family was over at my grandma's and we had lots of fun. I don't have a huge family, there are only about ninteen of us all together, so it wasn't to crowded. We watched some of the old home movies my mom, aunts and uncle's filmed twenty years ago before any of them had kids. I should probably mention that I really only have family on my mom's side, my dad's mom is dead and his dad is... Well he never really knew his dad. Anyway, we watched the ones we all knew, the one that we called "Mystery Goo" is everyone's favorite.

Tape Measurer Prank

The picture of mesuring tape reminds me of a prank I once saw. They took a tape mesurer, I know that a tape measurer and measuring tape are two different thinngs, and pulled it out as far as it would go. They then crumped it up around it's self and threw it into their friends office. The waded up tape measurer pulled all its measuring tape back into itself, making a loude and abrupt niose. Thir friend, who was working on her computer, was a very jumpy person, and it scared her. Later, they rigged up a loud horn, like and air horn, and set it off in her office. This was the next day or so and she had forgoten about the tape measurer and was cought off gaurd. This scared the living daylight out of her, and she ran out of the room and found her friends laughing. I found this quite funny and a very imagineative use for a tape measurer.

Typing Web

Recently we have been working on our typing skills, using a website called Typing Web. It teaches you how to type and where all the keys are on a keyboard. The goal of this is to make it so that you don't look at you hands while you type. Right now I am trying not to look as I type, but it's kind of hard and I find myself looking. Even so, this program has really helped with my typing skills. I can now type (sort of) without looking at the keyboard if I so chose, though I still find looking much easier. This program has different courses, for different skill levels. Beginner, intermediate, advanced, and so on, increasing in difficulty and skill.

My Bottled up Memory

The memory I would bottle up would be when I was at my friends birthday party last year. I would uncorck the memory, I would remember how we all prepared for the nerf war. We loaded clip after clip with nerf darts. Then, I would relive how we picked teams, then just went crazy, forgetting our teams and shooting everyone with the foam darts. I would then remember, hours later, how we would pick one person to find other in the pitch black basmemt, and how I accidently kicked my other friend in the gut, and how I took my brown jacket and hid in the middle of the room, and they couldn't find me.

My Book

Lately I have been working on my book. I have been writing a lot and I have over a hundred and thirty pages. That leaves me with about a hundred or so more to do. I really enjoy writing, it's how I express myself. My books name is called "Mad World" but I am surly going to change the name soon. The main charachter's name is Cooper Johnson, and this book takes place during the zombie apacolipse. Yeah, I know it's a little over done, the whole zombie apacolipse thing but I really enjoy it and people who have read it say I do it well. I was rally inspired by another author, Johnathan Mayberry, he is one of my favorite authors. I hope to have my book finished soon, but it may be a while.

Labor Day is believed to be founded by Peter McGuire, but some say that it was Mathew McGuire who had the idea of a working mans holiday. Labor Day was founded to celibrate the men who worked so they could get reconition. It took little more than a decade to make it a nationwide holiday. Once it was, the first Monday of September was made Labot day. Later, the Sunday before was made Labor Sunday, it represented the educational and spiritual aspecs of Labor Day. The Letter

"Something only you can get for me." I threw the words around in my head. What would Andy need from me in prison? The letter continued on: "I need you to go to mt house, in my study will be a small safe. The combination is 4267. Open the safe and take out the package, deliver it to 1223 Westroad, NY. That shouldn't be too far away from your work. I really need you to do this for me, please." I wondered why he would need me to do this, but I decided to go check out the safe after work.

Gendercide in India

    In the streets and villages of India, you won't find many women. Each year, female babies are killed or aborted, and many girls are just murdered. Why? Because the gender prefrence in India is men. Raising a girl in India costs money, while boys bring in the money. If a woman is married, her family pays for it. If they do not, the woman may be tortured or even burned to death. If a woman is pregnant, she will be presured to get an ultrasound, to determine the gender of the baby, even though this is illegal. If the baby is a boy, the family rejoces. But, when its a girl, the woman is told to abort it. If she does not, she might be tortured, have the baby aborted by force, or killed. I think this is a terrible thing. No one, let alone an unborn child, should be killed because of their gender. All of this is illegal, but in an interview with the man tasked of stopping this, the Indian governments Secratary of Heath, he did not seem very keen on stopping it. He dogged the question "Do you think that this should be illegal? Letting women be killed like that?" He responded with: "I think you answered your own question." He had an uncomfortable smile on his face. In my opinion, this should all be stopped imediatly. I am sad that anyone would even think of doing these things, but I am greatful for the few kind souls that have opened orpahages for these young girls and babies. Many of the babies come in half dead and two or three days old. This is a terrible thing to do, and anyone who presures there wives or even kills the babies for them, should themselves be killed.

My name is John Youmans, but I go by Jack. I've gone to school here at Festus R-6 my entire life, not countiong preschool. I've lived in Festus all my life and have only moved once. I have two sisters, Audra and Abby, and a dog named Boo. We named are dog Boo because we got him around Holloween about four years ago. When I grow up, I plan to be an Astrophysicist.

I know about how to run computers, because by dad is a DBA for DTS. I forgot what DST stands for but its a company based in Kansas City, MO. A DBA is a database adminastrator, he makes sure their servers on websites are running. I like to go on Youtube and find out about world news on the internet.

I'm intrested in learning about the universe and space using a computer. I would like to one day go into space, but that is unlikely at best. I am also intrested in the new Mars rover, Discovery. I like to see pictures of space, stars, planets, and the moon on reliable websites on the internet.

Braces

I have had my braces since about January. Right now my braces are orange. Today my sister is going to the orthodonist today to get x-rays of her teeth and they are going to have a discussion about getting her braces. Nothing bad is going to happen there today, but my sister is still nervus. My teeth are not that bad, but I have an overbite and I got an adult tooth knocked out falling on my front porch. For now they are putting a fake tooth in there, but they did not implant it. That is what I know about my braces.

The Last Day

I can't wait for the last day of school! We have just today and 4and half more days left of school. I think this year went by pretty fast. I think its pointless to have a half day because we are only there for about 3 hours. I guess its better than a full day of school on the last day. I am so excited for the summer!

Teacher Appreciation Week

Thhis week is teacher appreciation week and I am supposed to apperciate teachers. I think the the teachers I mostly appreciate are my 1st grade teacher and my 2nd graden teacher. My 1st grade teacher was Mr. Meyer and my 2nd grade teacher was Mrs. Clukies. I appreciate Mr. Meyer because I think he was a very nice and fun teacher. Mr. Meyer also carves wood at a real workshop. I apperciate Mrs. Clukies because I thought she was the nicest teacher I've ever had.

Photo Prompt

Today's photo prompt I think looks kind of weird. I also think it looks like the boy with wingsabove the others is like the good guy and the people below are bad guys. I think the the people below are like evil angels or demons. I think this becaause the artist made them look very ugly and scary looking, but I noticed that it looks like they all have wings. I also think that the people below could be allys of the kid above and could just be jealous of the kid's white wings. That is what I think of this picture.

A.R. Goal

Right now I am kind of afraid I won't be able to make my A.R. goal. I have to get 38 points and only have 20 right now. I am reading Inkheart right now, but I think its a big book. It's 534 pages and 23 points, so it will definitly get me to my A.R. goal. I am just afraid I won't finish it in time for May 4 because I'm only on page 74. That is my blog for today.

Earth Day

For Earth Day I can think of many things I can do for the environment. I could pick up more trash that I see just floating around and try to use electricity when I am watching TV or playing video games. I also need to remember to turn off the lights when I leave a room. I already recycle, but I think there are some things that I throw away that should be recycled, so I need to pay more attention. This is what I do for Earth Day and the environment.

Easter

This Easter I went to my Uncle Dan and Aunt Amy's house, ate tons of food and shot targets with an airsoft gun. After that, we went to my Aunt Eleanor's house. She has a really big hill in here back yard, so my cousins and I played tag in the backyard. This year I didn't do any Easter egg hunts! I love doing them, but I guess they think I'm too old for that now. For Easter, my sister woke all of us up at 8:00a.m. My parents bought me an ipod alarm clock for my birthday, but the alarm isn't loud enough to wake me up. That was my Easter.

How I Feel

If I looked how I feel, I would be a happy, cheery person. I think I am usually a pretty happy person, but its kind of hard to smile all the time. There is also times when you should not be happy, like when someone died. I would love to be  happy all the time and make other people happy too. I am pretty tall and I think most people think tall people are big and scary.  That is how I feel.

The Weekend

I can't wait for the weekend. This time I get a 4 day off of school! I mostly plan to just play videogames over the weekend like my favorite game: PokePark 2 Adventures Beyond. I also might practice my drums or read for my A.R. goal. I also forgot its Easter thiis weekend! I hope I get to dye eggs like we do every year. I"m not quite sure what I'm doing or where I'm going for Easter this year,but I'm sure my parents will make sure I have fun. Thats all I can think of, bye!

Healthy Habits

A healthy habit to get into is to try to get up and work out or play at least once a day.You should also try to eat healthy all the time, but its ok to eat unhealthy foods once and awile. If you do not stay healthy you could get fat and really out of shape. There is also a possiblity that you might not live longer.

Ergonomic Bad Habits

Ergonomics is how the human body uses a work space. One bad habit I have is sometimes when I sit I slouch, or have bad posture when I sit. My workstation is not ergonomically sound because the chair isn't adjustable, and it doesn't have armrests. People should sit all the way back in their chairs being 18 to 24 inches away from the computer screen. That is what I learned about ergonomics.  Bye!

I think it is justified that some of the Google images are blurred out because that area needs protection and privacy. The only thing I found that was mysterious about this site was the random green arrow in the blurred Google map picture. I also always wondered what the little bubble with an "A" in it meant too. I found out that when I clicked on a link where the article originally came from; I couldn't find the article. That is what I learned about Google Maps. Talk to you later.  :)

What I Learned In Computer Class

I learned a lot of new things in technology, like how make a maze, and it helped me be able to type faster. What I liked in computer class was that we got to sit wherever we wanted and some of the projects are really col. What I didn't like I this class are the timed typing tests, they helped me type better. But they get annoying.

This weekend im going to my best friends house. We have plans to go to the park and hang out with some friends. I love going there to hang out with her and her parents are really cool, I like them alot. We always end up fallling to sleep watching Ghost Aventures. I always have a good time when Igo to her house, We've been friends for four years now.

Eiffel Tower

In this pcture is the eiffek tower, the way its swirled reminds me of a snake. the pole on top of the tower looks like the tonge and the rest looks like the body. with the tower edited like that it makes it more interesting to look at and i think they should remake it to make it loook like that.

My Dads Birthday!

Tomorrow is my dads birthday, March 2, he is turning 41. I always tease him about how old he is, i say its better to be over the hill then buried under it. My mom, sister, brother, and me are all going to go out to eat at a place of his choice and this weekend we're going to take him to get a new sub box for his car. I was planning on buying him a huge bag Reese's, because the are his favorite kind of candy. He would also complain that he didn't get candy, hes such a little kid and will never get over candy.

Stacked Houses

The picture of the houses stacked on top of each other inspirred me to write whatever they made me think of. The houses made me think of a bunch of familys living in each house and how they all would be forced to get along, because its all a lot of houses stuck together and only one way out so there really living together. I would have been afrivated by everyone living so close to me and we'd practicly have to live together.

Vampire Academy

Vampire Academy is a book about a vampire moroi named Lisa and her shadow kissed friend Rose. Rose and Lisa are bonded so rose can feel what Lisa feels and tell when shes in trouble or hurt. This series of books is the most addictive books I have ever read. They are very, very good books. They are best friends and I dont want to ruen the books so im going to let you find out about them yourself. They are writen by Richelle Mead.

Physical education (P.E.) should be mandatory because if we didn't have it most kids would become obese or over weight. You may not like it but its good for you to exercise every day. We need to work to keep in shape, the united states is the country with the highest precentedge of obese people. Both children and adults need to stay in shape and if they dont they are more likely to get diabeatise or have trouble getting around and many other problems.
